Cliperbot Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026

Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how Cliperbot (available at cliperbot.com and api.cliperbot.com; hereinafter "Cliperbot", "we", "our", or "the Service") collects, uses, stores, and protects your information when you use the Cliperbot application and its integrations with TikTok and Kick.com. By using Cliperbot you agree to the practices described in this document.

1. Information Cliperbot collects

1.1. Account data: When you connect your TikTok account to Cliperbot via OAuth 2.0, Cliperbot receives an access token and your open identifier (open_id). Cliperbot does NOT store your TikTok password.

1.2. Channel data: Cliperbot stores the configuration of the Kick.com channel you wish to monitor: channel name, chatroom ID, and clipping preferences.

1.3. Clip metadata: Cliperbot records information about the generated clips: title, timestamp, type of detected event (funny, exciting, controversial) and publication status.

1.4. Data Cliperbot does NOT collect:

  • Cliperbot does not collect personal data from stream viewers.
  • Cliperbot does not store passwords from any platform.
  • Cliperbot does not collect payment or financial information.
  • Cliperbot does not track user browsing activity outside the Service.

2. TikTok data requested by Cliperbot (Scopes)

2.1. Cliperbot requests only two scopes/permissions from TikTok's official API, which are explicitly shown on TikTok's OAuth 2.0 authorization screen before the user approves them:

  • user.info.basic — Cliperbot uses this scope exclusively to display your TikTok username and avatar in the Cliperbot panel, for the sole purpose of allowing you to visually confirm the connected account is the correct one.
  • video.upload — Cliperbot uses this scope exclusively to send video clips to your TikTok Inbox as drafts (via the official /v2/post/publish/inbox/video/init/ endpoint). Cliperbot does NOT automatically publish any video to your profile; the video remains as a draft and you decide whether to publish from the official TikTok app.

2.2. Cliperbot does NOT request or use any other TikTok scope (does not use video.publish, does not access direct messages, does not access your followers, does not access your existing videos, does not access other users' data).

2.3. The access tokens issued by TikTok to Cliperbot are used only for the API calls described above. Cliperbot renews these tokens via the refresh_token when they expire, also via TikTok's official API.

3. How Cliperbot uses the collected information

3.1. The TikTok access tokens received by Cliperbot are used exclusively to upload clips to the Inbox of the authorized user's account.

3.2. Stream transcription fragments are sent to Groq (AI provider) anonymously, without any identifying data of the streamer or viewers, only to generate creative titles for the clips Cliperbot produces.

3.3. Clip metadata maintained by Cliperbot is used to avoid duplicates, respect cooldowns between publications, and generate usage statistics for the channel owner.

4. Storage and security

4.1. TikTok access tokens received by Cliperbot are stored encrypted on Cliperbot's servers.

4.2. Video clips generated by Cliperbot are stored temporarily during the editing and upload process to the TikTok Inbox, and are automatically deleted afterwards.

4.3. Stream transcriptions are stored locally on Cliperbot's processing server and are not shared with third parties except for the anonymized fragments sent to Groq for title generation.

5. Third-party sharing

Cliperbot shares data only with the following third parties, strictly necessary for the operation of the Service:

  • TikTok (ByteDance): Cliperbot sends the clip video and suggested description to TikTok exclusively via the official Content Posting API, Inbox endpoint, so the video arrives as a draft in your account.
  • Kick.com: Cliperbot performs queries to Kick.com's public API to verify stream status and obtain the video feed.
  • Groq: Cliperbot sends anonymized transcription fragments (without personal data) for AI title generation (Llama 70B model).

Cliperbot does NOT sell, rent or share personal data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

6. User rights

Every Cliperbot user has the right to:

  • Access: Request from Cliperbot a copy of all data stored associated with their account.
  • Deletion: Request from Cliperbot the complete deletion of their data at any time.
  • Revocation: Revoke Cliperbot's access to their TikTok account from TikTok settings or from the Cliperbot panel.
  • Portability: Request from Cliperbot the export of their data in a standard format.

To exercise these rights, contact the Cliperbot team: soporte@cliperbot.com

7. Data retention

7.1. TikTok access tokens issued to Cliperbot remain active as long as the user has the Service enabled. Cliperbot deletes them immediately when the user revokes access.

7.2. Clip metadata is retained for a maximum period of 12 months for statistical purposes, and Cliperbot deletes it automatically after.

7.3. Temporary video files generated by Cliperbot are deleted within 24 hours after upload to the TikTok Inbox.

8. Minors

Cliperbot is not directed at children under 13. Cliperbot does not intentionally collect information from children under 13. If Cliperbot discovers it has collected data from a minor, it will delete it immediately.

9. Changes to this policy

Cliperbot reserves the right to update this Privacy Policy. Cliperbot will notify users of significant changes via a notice on the main page of the Service. The "last updated" date at the top of this document reflects the most recent revision.
